Hi Hilary

Thanks for the e-mail. I am very pleased that we can expand the audience to your father's memoirs. Just as soon as we move the site to a new server I will add links and extract bits

Thanks again for allowing me this opportunity we are most greateful

Mr Simkins, this is so wonderful to have shared all your memories with your daughter, what a wonderful job she has done putting this all together so people can share in your experiences. I feel honoured to have read this thank you for inviting me to share it. Helen ps: hope the car can be repaired.

Hello Hillary,
Growing up listening to my Farther Ken Wheeler reminiscing about his time with Stacey and the crew always fascinated me.
I have to say reading through all you have on this website and looking at the photographs has brought a tear to my eye. It’s really wonderful to see the way in which these brave young men found time to laugh and become very close friends in such unusual circumstances.
It was nice to read about Stacey as someone who I have often heard my farther praise as one of his best friends who stuck together through all the adversity they faced together.
Regards,

Gary Wheeler

How little we know about our own familes. My dad was Stacey's elder brother and I didn't know anything of this history. I am so pleased to read of it now.
